Of Passion, Pain and Pleasure, I write thus:
It seems to me that these three are somewhat connected, give it a thought for a moment.
Pain always has a part to play in the history of success which in turn yields pleasure and of course what you toil doggedly for must be something you are passionate about!
Although it is not all the time they have each other’s consent on a journey, they often are an unwilling passengers in the same vehicle of life. Indeed they should, by the very nature of the definition of each of them. You will expect that one will be passionate about what he/she loves doing, hate pain even with a passion and wait for this, love pleasure with a passion…… funny isn’t it that passion seems to be a constant?
When you painstakingly prepare for an exam, a sales pitch or a presentation passionately, your pleasure results from the success that ensues and the accolades that pours in afterwards, the satisfaction and elation of a job well done and the reward.
Therefore I leave you with this befitting quote from the good book, “But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you” (1 Peter 5:10)
I guess you see your passion, pain and pleasure in there… happy TGIF!
