Hilarious, Shem’ful and embarrassing as you may see the interview conducted by Channels Television with the Lagos State Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corp, it draws attention to the gradual and imminent decay in our governing structures. I watched with dismay the interview, it smacks of lack of preparation, lack of information and most importantly lack of purpose. A couple of apologists on Nairaland attempted with lame excuses on this guy’s behalf. It has become the joke of the week; I was forced to watch the interview over and over to see if I missed something.
My take is that Mr Shem isn’t different from the rest of the public relations officers, special Advisers on media and publicity or the senior special assistant for public affairs of this world, just that he isn’t as refined. They all operate with the first law of POWER; never outshine the oga. Read Robert Greene’s “The 48 Laws of Power“.
Mr Shem’s goofs did not become obvious until the website issue. He started to struggle when he got to a point that his “Oga at the top” had not briefed him properly on, like cramming the website address, and he didn’t want to cross anyone let alone his “Oga at the top”
The Rottweiler and the Alsatian have both been made to eat their words many times by the “Oga at the top”, while Dame Lazarus didn’t spare them either when she spoke of her miraculous “Rising from the dead”.
Recently the “Oga at the top” also made it crystal clear that it isn’t necessary for you to be honest or diligent, just steal, defraud or embezzle enough to bribe your way. At the end awaits a state pardon by the “Oga at the top”!
I tend not to blame the ‘Shem’less commandant for not wanting to outshine his “Oga at the top”, after all they could have a new webmaster working on the site. He was smart to some extent, at least he gave us part of the website address; ww.nscdc. . . the webmaster will supply the rest when he is done.
It is also possible that the Shem’less Mr Shem perhaps paid too much attention to grooming his uniform and his fingers pointing techniques.
